Copyright Licensing Agreements

Copyright protection arises as soon as a qualifying work is created and fixed in a tangible medium.  A copyright gives the owner of a work the right to reproduce and distribute copies, the right of public performance and display, and the right to prepare derivative works. For works created after 1978, a copyright lasts for a term of seventy years after the death of the last surviving author.
