Software Licensing Agreements

Software is what makes any mainframe, desktop, laptop, or palmtop computer run and it is a big part of the modern world economy.  Software is generally licensed by companies to end-users in exchange for a royalty but sometimes it is distributed free of charge.  Software-related contracts and licenses have traditionally been governed by state common law but with the passing of the Uniform Computer Information Transactions Act (UCITA) most software-related transactions and licenses will be governed by the UCITA in the very near future.  The UCITA has already been adopted by Maryland and Virginia.   DB&LC helps software companies and developers protect their software with the following contracts:
